SYRACUSE SPORT POPULAR SYRACUSE, N. Y., July 10.— Gratified by the increasing attendance and handle in the share option department, the sponsors of the racing at the local Fair Grounds today visualized a profit on their enterprise in promoting the ten-day meeting. The publicity attached to the associations efforts to have a decision made on their plan has created interest to a considerable extent, and all surrounding communities have been represented by delegations. Today a local convention of Veterans of Foreign Wars helped to swell the attendance. The veterans, representing all sectors of the Empire State, had never seen this type of wagering employed in this state and avidly took to it.
