The Wheatley Stable was I second with ,685. t Rose Cross, Manhasset Stable colorbearer, , won the Dwyer Stakes, the moat valuable prize offered, and another minor race to earn ,840 and first place among the prize- j winning horses. Discovery, Cavalcades great rival, took the Brooklyn Handicap . and a purse race and second place to Rose ] Cross with ,775. : Jimmy Hunter, with fourteen victories, led the riders. Eddie Litzenberger .tied for ! second place with eleven winners.
