1 ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES | The Rockingham Park stewards have issued the following ruling: "Jockeys who are brought here to ride a special race or races will not be permitted to accept outside mounts on that date until after the specific race or races have been run." J. B. Belk, Virginia patron, has purchased the juvenile, Indian News, from Mrs. J. H. Whitney at private sale. Mr. Belk is leaving to spend a few days at his breeding farm in Virginia. Speedmore, J. H. Louchheims candidate for the New Hampshire Handicap, feature prize on Saturdays card, was unloaded at Rockingham Park Thursday morning after an uneventful trip from New York. Sam Buxton will come up to saddle the colt. There were many expressions of regret among the horsemen at Rockingham Park when word was received of the death of Jack Shea of Brookline, Mass. The late Mr. Shea formerly raced a string of horses in charge of trainer P. E. Fitzgerald, but of late years has had a fleet of horse vans operating from Brookline, Mass. The remains will be laid to rest at Newport, R. I. For the first fourteen days of the Rockingham meeting the revenue to the state of New Hampshire from the mutuel handle has been 24,000, or approximately double that for the corresponding period last year.
