UTILITY STRIKE CONTINUES CENTRALIA, 111., April 6. The employes of the Illinois Power and Light Corporation saw their strike go into the third day as no progress was made toward a settlement Many of the cities in central and southern Illinois, including Centralia and Mt. Vernon are affected, their supply of gas having been shut off. The only violence reported since the union trouble began was the wrecking of a high-tension line near Hillsboro, 111. on Thursday.
