FIVE HANDICAPS AT TANFORAN ,500 Feature Tops List of Attractions at Coast Track, Scheduled to Open on April 20. SAN MATEO, Calif., April 6. The list of handicaps for the Tanforan meeting, which is scheduled to get under way April 20, was released Saturday by racing secretary Webb Everett. The feature events are five in number, and the richest purse will be given for the Governors Handicap, to be run May 4. The value of that purse will be ,500. Conr ditions for the first nine days of the meeting are now in the hands of the printers and will be ready for release Monday. Everett stated that no purse at Tanforan would be less than 00. Following is a list of the handicaps: Inaugural Handicap, ,500, for three-year-olds and upward, to be run Saturday, April 20, 1935, six furlongs. The Haggin Handicap, ,000, for three-year-olds, to be run Saturday, April 27, one mile. The Governors Handicap, ,500, for three-year-olds and upward, to be run Saturday, May 4, one and one-sixteenth miles. The Baldwin Handicap, ,500, for two-year-olds, to be run Saturday, May 11, five furlongs. The Winters Handicap, ,000, for three-year-olds and upward no date, one mile.
