BAD SPOTS AT TANFOEAN SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 22 As owners were reluctant to enter their horses for Tuesday, due to the uncertain condition of the track, entries for that day did not fill until shortly before the running of the first race Monday. A patch of track extending from beyond the eighth pole to the seventy yard pole in the stretch was separated from the remainder of the, track by temporary barriers which made it necessary for the animals performing to race very wide all through the stretch. This, coupled with the fact that the jockeys had to do more or less steering to avoid the few bad spots on the main strip, accounted for the poor time made in the various events. While the track was fast in most places, it was not fast as a whole and was labelled "good" for Mondays racing.
