GOOD GOODS worked his way up steadily from a slow beginning and closed steadily on the outside. CLEVES was outrun during the first part, saved much ground rounding the turns and outlasted GOOD FLAVOR in the final strides. The latter was rated along under steadying restraint, but tired at the finish. FORTIFICATION was badly bumped at the stretch turn. Overweight Cleves, 2 pounds. FIFTH RACE 5-8 MILE. TECHNIQUE improved her position under urging and finished well. FOXY AGNES, outrun in the early stages, finished fast on the inside. ASTRA had no mishaps.
