1 ALAMO DOWNS TURF MOTES The official family, with the exception of H. P. Conklin, one of the stewards, is here. Judge Conklin will be here after the Havre de Grace meeting, where he is serving. Steward and racing secretary Charles F. Henry, placing judges John Carr and S. H. Brown and patrol judge Frank Otis came from Arlington Downs, while Joe Nelson, who will again do the starting, arrived from Bay Meadows. Sidney Bender, the third placing judge, has been here several weeks. The Bahr starting, gate arrived from Arlington Downs Monday morning and Joe Nelson ordered it placed in the tbree-quarter chute where he will start schooling Tuesday morning.
