t ALAMO DOWNS TURF NOTES j The horses of E. Sigman arrived from Arlington Downs. They are in charge of trainer H. McCloud, who recently took over the string. In the Sigman stable are The Pelican, Home Work, Colonel Jr. and Sassenach. F. J. Estes, who trains his own horses, brought Emery and Under Dog from Arlington Downs. Lovely Amelia and Closing Event were shipped from Houston several weeks ago, the horses being bought from J. M. Buckland. Mr. Con and Golden Tip, two here In charge of J. W. Parker, are reported as improving after a severe sickness. The horses shipped from Arlington Downs by E. W. Myers for C. E. Smith are Nick, Twill, Phyllis R., Manners, Red Rod and Saracen Maid. A. C. Russell, trainer for the San Angelo Stable, brought Her Dago, Elanbee, Jolly Ronald and The Choctaw from Arlington Downs. The latter races for Mrs. A. C. Rus-1 sell.
