ARLINGTON DOWNS STATISTICS Sachsenmaier and Reuter Head Money Winning Owners. Koman Soldier, Texas Derby Winner, Heads Prize-Winning Horses Paul Keester Is Leading Jockey. Staging the best meeting in the history of Texas racing, the Arlington Downs Jockey Club distributed 74,395 among the money-winning owners whose horses took part in the twenty-one days meeting at. the Waggoner track from March 28 to April 20, during which time 168 races were run, and an average of ,304.52 was distributed daily. Sachsenmaier and Reuter headed the money-winning owners through the victory of their star three-year-old, Roman Soldier, winner of the Texas Derby and one other race. Trainer Phil Reuter was declared half owner of the brilliant three-year-old on the morn-ing- of the Texas Derby, and while Roman Soldier won another race during the meeting, it was credited to Elwood Sachsenmaier, who was listed as the sole owner of the colt prior to the Derby. H. C. Rumage was in second place among the owners, with 0,485. Mrs. F. C. Mars Milky Way Farms Stable was third with ,200. Roman Soldier headed the horses with 1,875. Our Count, winner of the Fort Worth and Dallas Handicaps, was next with ,200, and Prince Fox, rated as best of the handicap division, third with ,830. Paul Keester was the leading rider, piloting twenty-six winners, while his nearest rival, Lester Balaski, scored with twelve of his mounts. J. D.
