SPRING MOON, away forwardly and showing good speed, cut over sharply to the inside, raced head and head with SILVIRIS on the outside, was placed under punishment In the stretch and drew away in the final seventy yards. SILVIRIS had good early speed, saved ground on the inside, but was not good enough. OSIRIAN worked his way up on the outside in the early stages and closed well. BAD BUDDY, always a forward contender, held on well. KO raced evenly. LAFITOFF had some speed, but quit. GOOD PICKING was never prominent. PROMETHEUS, away well, was rated behind the leaders while saying ground, swung to the outside when clear in the stretch and won well in hand. BORDER KNIGHT, away in the first flight, was-reserved off the pace while forced to race on the outside, closed stoutly, but was no match for the winner. MELOY had good early speed, raced to the front at once, saved ground throughout, but tired. TIMON raced with the leaders early, had no mishaps, but could never get up. DARKSINI made up some ground. FEUDAL LORD, reserved off the early pace while racing on the outside, wore down DESERT CALL in the stretch and was well in hand at the finish. WORTHY DUKE had good early speed on the back stretch, and was up to beat DESERT CALL in the final strides. DESERT CALL, close to the pace of the early leaders,-raced REE into submission to take a slight lead in the stretch, but faltered in the final drive. PITCHBLENDE, unable, to keep up with the early pace, closed some ground in the late stages. REE had keen early speedy but quit badly. Scratched lOSSSlchester, 108. Overweights-Desert Call,, 4 pounds. TRAJECTORY, well-placed from the beginning, secured racing room between horses in the stretch, was placed to punishment to wear down the leaders and was hard urged to the finish. DON VERN, always a forward factor, took a short lead on the turn and held on well. DUNLINS LAD, in close quarters while on the back stretch, closed stoutly when clear. THE MINER had good early speed to take a short lead in the early racing, but could not keep up. UPSET LAD closed a big gap from a slow beginning. MSS GORMLEY raced evenly while forced to race on the outside. TREY.had good early speed while racing in the lead with PRINCE DRAKE, shook off the latter on the final turn, saved ground, but could not withstand the bid of the winner. HEIRESS, placed forward! from the beginning, moved up threateningly in the stretch, but tired in the final drive. PLAIN BEN, fracious, raced on the ouside throughout and closed well. JUST FUN had good speed setting the pace, shook off a bid from UNION on the final turn, held on well, but was not good enough. CANDLE FLY, reserved from the early pace, moved up quickly on the outside in the stretch, was taken to the inside and finished fast. UNION, away alertly, saved ground on the rail while racing with JUST FUN, but faltered in the final eighth. FAIR MOLE was never a serious contender. Overweight Just Fun, 1 pound; CanJle Fly, 1. OMAREEN assumed command midway on the back stretch, was rated in front while saving ground on the rail, shook off the challenge of CARYLDON entering the stretch, but had to be hard urged to the finish. CARYLDON, close to the early pace, disposed of FUSCO leaving the back stretch, raced slightly wide entering the front stretch and closed well, but could not reach the winner. BLUE DAMSEL, a distant trailer in the early stages, closed with a rush. VIRADO raced evenly. FUSCO had speed, but quit. Overweight Spare Time, 2 pound.
