CAVALCADE TO MAKE 1935 DEBUT TODAY t- ........ NEW YORK, N. Y., May 21. The midweek feature for the racing at Belmont Park is the "Bouquet, a claiming stake for the juveniles over the four and a half furlongs route. That has some importance, but the real attraction of the day is a mile handicap that will bring Cavalcade back to competition. Champion three-year-old of last year, Mrs. Sloanes colt has been working exceedingly well for his engagement in the Suburban Handicap, his sole special engagement at the Belmont Park meeting, and Wednesday he is to have a public trial over the mile distance in the Ben Brush Handicap. Cavalcade is handicapped at scale weight of 127 pounds and he. is opposed by Head Play under 114 pounds and Carry Over and Somebody each to carry 104 pounds. Under this arrangement of weights the contest should be a good one and these are well calculated to give the son of Lancegaye a stiff trial. Cavalcade has not been to the races since the running of the Classic at Arlington Park last summer. He met with a foot injury while being trained for the Travers and then went amiss again just before the 00,000 Santa Anita Handicap, for which he was trained at Columbia, S. C. Since being moved to Belmont Park the colt has been galloping brilliantly and "Bob" Smith has pronounced him ready for the Suburban, in which he has to take up 127 pounds, just the weight he is to shoulder Wednesday afternoon.
