LATE DATE GETS TOP WEIGHT Beckwood Stable Mare Assigned 120 Pounds for Inaugural at Latonia. LATONIA, Ky., May 21. The Beckwood Stables crack six-year-old mare, Late Date, has been assigned top weight for the Inaugural Handicap, mile and a sixteenth contest which features Saturdays opening day program at Latonia. The race is for three-year-olds and over and carries ,500 in added money. Late Date has been allotted 120 pounds, at which figure she will concede from six to twenty-five pounds to the others. W. E. Smiths Felawake gets in with ninety-five pounds. Shipped here especially for the race, Late Date received a mile workout Tuesday morning in the mud. She was timed in 1:49, handily, working around the "dogs," her fractions being :28, :55 and 1:21. J. B. Respess Summit Hill and Felawake also were given easy works. Felawake went three-quarters in l:204i, while Summit Hill, which worked over a slow track Monday, turned in a mile in 1:44. The weights follow: Horse. Wt. Horse. Wt.
