LUCKY SONG raced to the front at once from the inside post position, withstood the challenge " of MACAWLITA after entering the stretch and held the latter to the finish. MACAWLITA displayed good speed from the start and held on fairly well. MADCAP YANKEE dropped far back soon after the start, but came fast through the stretch and was going well at the end. MEKONG was racing well when VOLTDAIR crossed in front of him in the stretch. TRENT quit badly. VOLTDAIR was close up on the inside in the early stages, was permitted to go from the rail to the middle of the track in the stretch, interfered with MEKONG and lost all chance. ALSISTO raced to the front at once from the outside position, drew into a good lead in the early running and, increasing his advantage in the stretch, was never in danger. MY LETITIA improved her position slowly and steadily in the last half mile. CHAZZAN liked the going and made up ground. MUCKER tired in trie stretch and prohably needed the race. NOTIFY began slowly, but closed ground. SATURNINO was never a contender. TAMPA LASS was off slowly. FAIR LAY tired. GEORGIA LILY raced to the front early, drew away from DROLE POLLY when ready in the last quarter and opened up a long lead in the stretch to finish far in front. ELECTRIC GAFF, caught in close quarters in the back stretch, stumbled while being taken back, but came again after rccoverine and, although racing wide in the stretch, outfinished DROLE POLLY. The latter tired badly after going five-eighths. DUNBAR showed a fair effort, but could not keep up with the early leaders. SCRIP MONEY and MALINO met with interference when ELECTRIC GAFF stumbled.
