RAINY WEATHER INJURES BACK ARLINGTON, Texas, April 3. The stewards issued the following statement regarding Rainy Weather, which was a disappointing favorite in the first race Thursday: "The stewards received a report of Rainy Weathers condition from Jack Carter, who claimed the filly; Dr. Peters, veterinarian of " the Milky Way Farms Stable, who is treating the filly; and Dr. Brock, the track veterinarian. They all agreed that the filly had wrenched her back when she stumbled at the post. The filly is being treated with hot applications, but is very sore, and it probably will be ten days or two weeks before she returns to competition."
