HERONDAS, away well and close up from the start, disposed of CORVUS on the final turn, drew out easily and was well in hand at the finish. CORVUS had good speed in the run through the back stretch gave way to the winner when challenged, but hung on well in the drive. BROTHER NEWT in the first flight from the start, came slightly wide through the stretch and finished stoutly. BLAKEEN raced evcnlv and closed full of run. COUNT TEN could never get up. ZULU LAD, away well, raced LADY HOCKBERGER into submission on the far turn, drew clear but had to be kept under pressure to the finish to hold KINDRED SPIRIT safe. The latter trailed the field down the back stretch, came around the leaders when moving up stoutly on the outside and was slowly wearing the winner down. LADY HOCKBERGER had good early speed to set the pace, saved ground throughout, gave way to the leaders when challenged and was tiring at the finish. LORRAINE S raced evenly, but could not threaten. BOOCAP, slow as usual in the early racing, moved up very fast when straight in the back stretch, assumed command leaving the back stretch, drew out easily and was never threatened. HEROWIN lacked early speed, moved up into contention after a half mile, came to the outside when challenging through the stretch, but was no match for the winner. HIGHEST POINT, rated off the early pace, responded well when called upon and closed stoutly. JOHN WERRING, hard hustled to take a short lead, could not hold it. RELATIVITY had no excuses.
