T BOWIE TURF NOTES I Adolph Pons arrived from Texas following a business trip. Bill Woolatt arrived from Windsor and will stay for the remainder of the meeting. Frank Kearns will ship the Calumet Stable to Jamaica after the conclusion of this meeting. Imperial Pal was the first horse of the season placed on the schooling list by starter Milton. John OByrne arrived from New Orleans with six horses, which he raced there this winter. Otto Blanks Jackie D. was ordered scratched from the second race Friday by the stewards for failure to conform to the increase in claiming price following a claim. The horse Eatemup, trained by John Johnson, was ordered scratched by the stewards. Johnsons application for a trainers license was tabled by the New York stewards at a recent meeting. Eddie Brennan, racing secretary at Hag-erstown, represented that he had applications for 200 stalls for that meeting. The Bomar Stable signed the apprentice Russell Kinsley, who hails from Savage, Md., for the summer. William Wallace was among the arrivals from New York. Trainer R. E. Potts stated that Grand Slam and other horses owned by the Bomar Stable will be transferred to Havre de Grace Monday to await that meeting. First Minstrel and Peradventure arrived here Thursday morning from Greentree Farm, Red Bank, N. J., and were turned over to John Gaver. reaches Dallas for her engagement. Lou Smith, accompanied by E. C. Fauntel-roy, of the newly reorganized Rockingham Park Association, arrived from New York and will remain over the week-nd. The first claim of the meeting was recorded when C. J. Bild secured Vitascope out of the first for ,500.
