SIRE LEONARDO II. IS DEAD Leonardo II., eighteen-year-old horse by Sweep Ethel Pace, dropped dead at the Xalapa Farm in Bourbon County, Kentucky, on March 27. He was owned by Mrs. E. F. Simms and had a fairly good record as a sire. Among his most notable turf successes were the Hopeful and Withers, a third in the Belmont and fourth in the Preakness.
