BILLIES ORPHAN, a strong factor from the start, responded gamely to pressure, disposed of TOMBEREAU and won going away. The latter, never far back, took command in the stretch and held on with good courage while submitting. MORLEY FIRTH moved up stoutly after racing a half mile, offered good contention, but was not good enough. CHARMING SIR, forced to lose ground, gave a good performance. STEPONIT finished fast. FLIGHLETTE was outrun. GOFORTH, away well, was permitted to drop far out of it and failed to reach contention under weak riding. JOCKANA quit. Corrected weight Prairie King, 116. INA DEAR took command early, continued well to the final eighth, then tired. "LADY THATCHER also tired after forcing the early pace. RED FLYER quit. The others were outrun.
