f TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES j 3- William H. Shelley, who has been vacationing in Miami, returned to Churchill Downs to make preparations for the coming meeting at that point, where he acts as racing secretary. Apprentice Ira Hanford, leading rider at Tropical Park, will take a short holiday before resuming saddle work at Havre de Grace. Jockey Raymond Workman, who came down to ride Bright Plumage for C. V. Whitney in the Derby Consolation Stakes, flew back to his home in Washington, Saturday night. C. A. Hanson will turn out his two horses, Doubleton and Gallic, in Miami for the entire summer. They will be taken up next fall for a campaign in Florida, after being subjected to experiments with a salt water treatment.
