TEUFEL IN GOOD WORKOUT NEW YORK, N. Y., April 4. Teufel, one of the Wheatley Stables candidates for the Kentucky Derby, turned in the most impressive move of any of the several nominees trainer "Sunny Jim" Fitzsimmons worked at Aqueduct this morning. The leggy chestnut colt was timed a mile and a furlong in 1:58. He worked alone and went the first furlongs in rather slow time, with a half in :53 and three-quarters in 1:19. From that point he was permitted to race along at a better clip, and turned the mile in 1:45, and the distance in 1:58. He ran the last two eighths in :13 each. Granville, from the Belair Stud, worked smoothly, pulling up a mile in 1:47. He had the benefit of a pacemaker, in the shape of Merry Pete. White Cockade, which outworked Granville earlier in the week, did not appear for a work yesterday. Invermark was timed a mile and an eighth in 2:02, and the mile in 1:45. : :
