BROTHER TO BROKERS TIP BORN . i LEXINGTON, Ky., April 4. Olin Gentry this morning reported the birth last night of a three-parts brother to Brokers Tip at Col. E. R. Bradleys Idle Hour Farm. It is a brown colt by Blue Larkspur Forteresse, by Sardanapale. He is one of the best formed foals ever to have come to Idle Hour Farm, Gentry said. This brings the number of foals at Idle Hour this season to eleven. There are eight fillies and three colts. The other colts are bays, one by Bubbling Over Battercake, dam of Boys Howdy, and the other by Burgoo King, Kentucky Derby winner, and Clonaslee, dam of Bold Lover. Discussing the foalings at Idle Hour Farm, stud manager Gentry said: "There were forty mares on the farm to foal this season. Twelve were sold in foal. That left twenty-eight, of which seventeen are yet to foal. While there is thus far a disproportionate number of fillies, eight out of eleven foals, we have had good fortune in that we have lost no foals. Records for the last several years at Idle Hour Farm show that 84 per cent of the mares bred had foals, and that 92 per cent of the foals went to the races."
