MOON ROSE took a short lead rounding the first turn and, coming again in the stretch, had enough left to hold DICKY BOY safe at the end. DICKY BOY was outrun to the last quarter, then came very fast on the outside to close with a rush and would have won in a few more strides. ONLY GEORGE dashed to the front after leaving the back stretch to open up a good lead, but tired in the stretch. SWEEP QUICK improved his position steadily and was going well at the finish. PARLEY VOUS also finished well. DANFIELD was used up when he was rushed up to the leaders and tired badly in the run home. LAZADA was in close quarters going to the first turn and had little chance. CLEMENTE GIRL displayed good early speed, but was done after going a half mile. CLYDE was started from outside the gate. GABBO was never a contender al any stage and can do better. AMY COOPER raced on practically even terms with IN CHANCERY for the first half mile, then drew into a good lead and won handily. IN CHANCERY had speed from the start and raced fairly well to the finish, although not good enough for the winner. MORALE raced wide while making his move and, although going well to the finish, could not get up. GATEWAY had some early speed. RISKY MISS was in close quarters at the start and could never get to the leaders. ROYAL COMMAND was off badly and, caught in close quarters next to the rail all through the first threc-eiehths, had little chance. Corrected weight In Chancery, 117. THIRD RACE 1 MEUE. GREENSPRING LAD headed DOW B. after rounding the first turn and made the pace down the back stretch under slight restraint, then drew away from the field when urged and, shaken up in the stretch, held a good advantage to the finish. ORILEY showed improvement and, gaining steadily when called upon, was best of the others. BONAGAI made several moves to catch the leader, but was not good enough. DIGNIFIED was badly outrun early and, although making up some ground, was never dangerous. WILDLAND made a strong move on the inside around the far turn, but was caught in close quarters and dropped back. DOW B. could not keep up. PLUCKY JACK lacked speed for the first quarter but moved up steadily when straightened out in the back stretch and, heading CALAVERAS in the stretch, was not extended in the last sixteenth. CALAVERAS raced to the front at once to set a good pace and continued gamely after being headed to hold LLOYD PAN. The latter raced up strongly in the back stretch, saved ground approaching the stretch turn and, coming to the outside of CALAVERAS in the stretch, was going well at the finish. NATALIE. ZEVAR, well rated in the early running, was sent forward steadily in the back stretch to reach a contending position and, coming very fast through the stretch, caught SQUEEZER in the last sixteenth to win handily. SAN RAMON was saved close up in the early stages and came strongly in the stretch to finish fast and gamely. SQUEEZER was taken sharply off stride while his rider was grabbing for a new hold soon after the start and dropped far out of it, then rushed around the outside after leaving the back stretch to take command in the stretch and opened up a good lea,d, but was used up from his early efforts and had little left. HIS WAY, close up in the early running, loomed up dangerously rounding the stretch turn, but tired in the last eighth. TORO MAK was never a serious threat. MIDSHIPMAN lacked speed and, although saving ground all the way, was never a contender. WAR LETTER acted badly at the post and broke poorly from the gate, was rushed around on the outside and to the front in the first quarter and had nothing left in the final eighth.
