j EXCELLENT PRICES AT j HOLLY BEACH SALE . . --a HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 18. Labrot and Co., operators of Holly Beach Farm, enjoyed a successful sale here today,, when eighteen head they offered brought a total of 2,650, an average of ,258. Following the Labrot sale the Glen Riddle Farms sold six two-year-olds for a total of ,700, an average of ,117. A large crowd was on hand when Snap Judgment, a gelded son of Chance Shot, was led into the ring. From the opening bid of 00 the price quickly mounted and eventually stopped at ,300, the successful bidder being Kay Kamen. Gramercy, the thirteenth offering, proved the highlight of the Labrot sale, when he was knocked down to Frank E. Brown for ,500. The same bidder also secured Jackinthebox, the second highest of the sale. E. F. Seagram, well known Canadian, bought White Hot, a chestnut gelding by Sir Greysteel, for ,100, while the Californian J. D.
