WAGGONER STRING TO OMAHA Three Ds to Campaign Nine During Ak-Sar-Ben Meeting. Shipment From West Coast Expected to Be Headed by Horses of Boss Cooper Other Arrivals. OMAHA, Neb., April 18. With 250 horses assured from the Arlington Downs meeting and at least 150 from the west coast, Ak-Sar-Bens second revival race meeting, scheduled from May 28 to July 4, is certain to see the best competition in local history. Racing secretary Eugene W. Bury went to the Arlington Downs meeting hoping to recruit at least 150 thoroughbreds, but instead he has informed Ak-Sar-Ben officials that at least 250 head will be shipped from the Texas track. Included in the Texas entries will be the Waggoner Three Ds division, including My Dainty, Ridge Wise, Phalazetta, Exchange Club, Princess B., Big Train, Royal Palace, Princess Teddy and Peters Pet. The west coast shipment is headed by horses trained by Ross E. Cooper of San Luis Rey Rancho. This includes Clark Gables Beverly Hills and William Le Barons Sycamore Stable. Others under Coopers direction are Mickeys Man, Plunge Home, Atoel, Iron Claw, Roxana S., Bon Shot, Maildun, Brown Jade, Sir Ridgway, Don Grafton, Sporting Green, Green Flame, Bonagai, Gay Streamer, Recoatna, Fair Edina, Amy Cooper, El Portal, Mildren, Bonicon and Wrackfield. .The Brooklyn owner, A. C. Urban, has named Bostonian Gal, Donerina, Myrtle Brooks and Toto for competition, while E. Drillon of New Orleans will have Yule Star, Novito, Bright Knot, Scout Chief, Pertinacious, Seafarer, Pomposa, Baby Bane, Swifty, Cold South and Pharamaid. Lester Tiffany, former sheriff of Lake County, Illinois, will bring Inference, Corida, Lafata and Twinkling Eye. With more than 100 horses already on the grounds, Ak-Sar-Ben officials expect last years entry mark of 700 to be tdppeiL.
