r- --- K. KAMEN BECOMES OWNER -USES SNAP JUDGMENT - - . - - - i HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 18. Kay Kamen, partner of Walter Disney, well known Mickey Mouse cartoonist, is a new recruit to racing. Coming down from New York especially to witness the running of the Chesapeake Stakes in company with William Shea, Kamen joined the crowd attending the Labrot and Co. sale that was held before the running of the first race. Apparently unconcerned as to what horses were in the market, Kamen took snap judgment when the auctioneer asked for bids on the first horse led into the sales ring, and before he was able to scan the catalog to find out what horse he was bidding on he was confirmed as the buyer of the two-year-old gelding Snap Judgment, by Chance Shot Unconcern. The youngster went to his new-owner for ,300, and he regards the juvenile as a good purchase. The gelding has been turned over to Willie Shea, who raced such good performers as Sandy Ford, winner of the Dixie Stakes, and Tea Caddy.
