F. J. RYAN DIES IN MIAMI TORONTO, Ont, April 18. Frederick J. Ryan of 119 Evelyn Crescent, Toronto, co- founder with his brother of the Honey Dew j Company and prominent race horse owner, died suddenly Saturday of a heart attack at his Miami Beach winter home. He was 55 years of age. Born in Ypsilanti, Mich., Mr. Ryan was educated at Cleary College, Ypsilanti. After his marriage to Miss May Walley of Toledo, I he came to Toronto twenty-five years ago l and opened the Pavlowa on Cowan Avenue, I the first roller skating rink in Canada. I Owner of several fine race horses during ! the last few years, Mr. Ryan was well known to the horse breeding fraternity and was a : member of the Ontario Jockey Club. Sur-I viving are his wife and a daughter, Mrs. T. B. Russell, of Toronto.
