FATAL FIRE AT TEXAS FAEM ARLINGTON, Texas, April 18 Three thoroughbred broodmares, three cold-bred mares and a two-year-old son of Bookbinder were burned to death when fire swept a barn at Arthur McKnights breeding farm near Arlington, Texas, last night. The mares were Miss Drapeau, My Darling and Irish Cutie. The Bookbinder offspring was named Packy Dee. Bookbinder, the only stallion at the farm, was in another barn when the fire, which started from undetermined origin, swept the structure. The Heathen, which was due at the farm yesterday, probably escaped death, for Mc-Knight expected to quarter him in the ill-fated building. McKnight has eight other thoroughbred mares, and he expects to continue in the breeding business. The loss figs partially, .covered by insurance,
