HEARTY, never far back and under strong pressure, made up ground in the last eighth. SANDVATO forced the pace under strong urging and tired. CANAVIA, forced to lose ground early, gave way entering the stretch, but came fast in the last stages. DISARRAY, away .very slowly, closed with a rush. PRAIRIE BELL weakened after improving her position. STAR CLUSTER showed nothing. ALBERT BECK was outrun. LADY MAR was knocked back at the far turn and showed nothing thereafter. The latter came over sharply when improving his position at the far turn, forged to the front in the last eighth, failed to withstand the winner, but held on well. ALTENA, well up from the start and on the inside, was forced to the outside afer reaching the stretch and closed with a rush. ROSY DOON worked her way forward steadily, was sent to the inside for the drive, lut weakened after reaching the lead. JUDGE PEAK made up ground. BONNIE PAN and BALDY jquit. The latter, weakly ridden and allowed to drop out of contention, was steered to the outside entering th cstretch and finished under her own courage. GAY BUBBLE took command under hustling tactics, gave way nearing the stretch, came again to gain a good advantage, but weakened in the last stages. KHAMSEEN, forced to lose ground when reaching the lead, was forced wide at the stretch turn and tired thereafter. BACK LOG showed a dull effort. QUICK FLIGHT weakened after improving her position. The latter, a strong factor from the start and on the outside, was put to strong pressure in the stretch and was wearing the winner down at the end. AMAZING saved ground when improving his position and held on well. CROUT AU POT had no mishaps. THISTLE GUY was never a factor. COUNTESS ANN quit. CONTINUITY was done after a half mile. MOISSON, outrun for a half mile, was sent to the outside when improving his position and finished strongly.
