NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES and - Payments of the second subscription for the New England Futurity, Walter E. OHaras big fall attraction for Narragansett Park, are due May 1. Many owners have already sent checks to indicate their intention of staying in. One of the most interesting shipments to reach Narragansett Park tnis season is the contingent of thirteen from the stock farm of Willis Sharpe Kilmer. Twelve of the string are juveniles and veteran horsemen were astounded by the apparent fitness of the youngsters. One, a son of the great Sun Beau, was said by several horsemen to have an amazing likeness to his sire, and trainer Jack Price declared the colt showed great promise. Nearly a score of horses arrived at Narragansett recently from Hot Springs. J. D. Mooney brought in six, including his handicap star Allen Z., the good filly Blue Cyclone, the three-year-old colt Whistling Boy and the platers Union, Threatening and Glendye. Mooney also brought two horses owned by Doc Coover. H. C. Woolfe, trainer for the Motor City Stable of Detroit, arrived at Narragansett Park from Hot Springs with a string of six. J. M. Brooks also arrived from Hot Springs with three. Six of the thoroughbreds in the Araho Stable, owned by Mrs. Warter E. OHara and led by the stakes campaigner New Deal, arrived at Narragansett Park in charge of agent Jack Cartier. Trainer Bobby Curran remained at Havre de Grace with the rest of the string, which includes Howard, a likely starter in the Philadelphia Handicap, the feature event there next Saturday. More than thirty horses reached Narragansett Park from California. Trainer E. Eslick brought in five owned by the Walker-Eslick Stable, including the five-year-olds Easy Sailing, Dirigible and Megia, the four-year-old Evangelist and the veteran gelding Forget Not. Others arriving from the west coast included Harry Fields with three; B. M. Creech with eight and B. J. Hill with nine.
