JAMAICA TURF NOTES Silvio Coucci has drawn the mount on Ned Reigh in the Wood Memorial Saturday. He obtained this break through withdrawal of Greentrees Galsac from the stake and the fact that Workman must ride Bright Plumage for his contract employer, C. V. Whitney. Granville and Teufel came over from Aqueduct before the first race for a "look-see" in the Jamaica paddock. The first named did not exhibit any of the nervousness he showed prior to his debut on Tuesday. C. H. "Pat" Knebelkamp reports the death of Wynn E., a three-year-old half-brother to the fleet Ariel Cross. Pneumonia was the cause. Little Pete Christiansen was an arrival from Texas, where he has been battling the mutuels. Miami papers report the suicide of Frank Wright, former trainer in that city. He handled Four Spot a few seasons back. Seth W. Morton, of the the Saratoga Racing Association, was a visitor. Joseph Kahn has taken the contract on the promising apprentice C. Stafford, who has been riding with a degree of success in Maryland.
