LADYS BEAU moved into a clear lead midway of the back stretch, stalled off a bold effort from IRON ORE when reaching the final turn, rallied to slight punishment when reaching the stretch and drew clear thereafter. IRON ORE, forwardly placed in the early running, challenged boldly when leaving the back stretch, but tired in the last eighth. ALIT improved his position on the outside, closed gamely, but could not threaten the leaders. IN FRONT was kept under strong pressure from the beginning, but failed to menace under stout urging. BLACK SCOUT was done after going three-eighths. DOLENTE was never a factor. SAUCY VIXEN and ZINNIA broke very slowly, with the latter running into trouble in the first sixteenth. AT POST— minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. DANIEL SOOT, handling his weight nicely, went into an easy lead in the first mile, was steadied to all of his fences while fencing clean, rallied gamely when shaken up in the last half mile and outstayed THE STAG II. under strong pressure. THE STAG II. followed in closest attendance of the winner after the first three fences, moved up determinedly in the last half mile and closed with good courage on the inside. WATSONIA went forwardly all during the contest, but could not threaten the leaders in the closing test. SAUGHTON BOY could not engage the leaders when put to a drive after racing in reserve early. ROYAL THOMAS made a bad landing at the ninth fence and was held safe. DRILL MASTER went evenly all the way. SEAFARIN DAN was never a factor. BRIAR BLUE unseated his rider at the eleventh jump. JACK PATCHES outran his field to the first turn, went along under restraint until reaching the stretch, then was mildly shaken up during the closing eighth to hold JUSTA GLIDER safe. The latter followed closest to the winner from the beginning, made strong bids in the last half mile, but was held perfectly safe in the closing stages. CORUM, sluggish in the early running, worked his way up on the outside and linished gamely. STACK ARMS was under stout pressure all the way and had no mishaps. STAR SPECIAL could not reach contention at any stage. ME MYSELF was never a factor and passed tiring horses. CANPRA broke slowly and was held safe. MISS TWINKLE was done after going three-quarters. INFILEE saved ground rounding the first turn, swung to the outside when settled on the back stretch, wore the leaders down entering the stretch, but had to be shaken up strongly to withstand THREE DAGGERS after moving clear. THREE DAGGERS, far out of contention in the early running, saved a lot of eround when bettering his position and ilosed fast on the inside in the final drive. TULEYRIES WAND finished with good courage but could not threaten the first two. JIM BROWN was made too much use of early and tired. RELATIVITY tired badly alter going into a slight lead midway of the final turn. PRINfc PETTIE quit early. ITALIAN HARRY was outrun. WICKCLIFFE stood flat footed when the break came. LITTLE ARGO, in the thick of contention from the start, disposed of SHAGGY ANN when leaving the back stretch, wst kept in the firmer footing after moving into the lead, and outstayed JAKOVIA under a hard drive JAKOVIA moved up stoutly in the last five-sixteenths, responded to punishment and fought it out gamely in the late staees. TAUNTON bettered his position while racing wide early, went to the inside 1 after being straightened into the stretch, but could not menace. IDLE FLIRT was unable to offer serious opposition when the real issue came. SOCK DOI.OGER was shuffled hark midway of the back stretch while in the softer footing and was never a factor. DISTRACTING, away nicely, showed no ability in the footing. BUBBLING SPRING entered contention with a rush, but flattened out badly. FEUDAL LASS propped when the break came and was away poorly. STAR PORTER, forced to race on the inside of his field while forcing a steady pace, gained a slight lead and. continuing strongly, outstayed IRISH TED. The latter, hurried along in the early racing, responded to punishment and was wearing the winner down gradually at the close. ZAY, lacking speed to race for-wardly, came with a belated rush in the last three-sixteenths. HIGHPOOL showed nice speed while setting the pace, rallid willingly under punishment and held on with good courage. THE BAILIFF was racing gamely in the late stages. FLYING FEET moved up strongly entering the stretch after being outpaced in the opening three-eighths, swung to the outside when improving her position and, finishing determinedly under punishment, was up in the last strides. PASS EM BY, a keen factor from the start, raced MAKING TIME and WHITE SWEETS into submission and fought it out stubbornly to the end. WHITE SWEETS, going in her best form, raced into a brief lead midway of the stretch and held on well thereafter. SPOTLESS, in tight quarters directly after the start, went wide for the entire journey. MAKING TIME was ridden hard and had no excuses. FLAMING BELLE was outrun. DONA DULCIN, prominent in the early stages, was kept on the outside in the better footing, responded to intermittent punishment in the last five-sixteenths and, closing gamely, was up in the last strides. HARD CHASE was hustled into a short lead, shook off a bold bid from DEARZIN in the last five-sixteenths, and then held on stoutly for the closing test. DEARZIN went up strongly on the inside of the winner when reaching the tinal turn, saved ground, hut faltered in the last quarter mile. SILENT DON could not better his position when the real test came. PLAYOFF was never dangerous. AIRWAY was held safe all the way. TIGHT WAD had no excuses.
