THE FIGHTER TEXAS LEADER Mars Stable Heads Owners for Arlington Downs Meeting. $ Brammer Takes Down Honors With Twenty-Eight Winning Mounts — McGarvey Saddles I Eighteen Winners. The Arlington Downs meeting came to a close April 25 after twenty-seven days of good racing. The Texas Derby brought together a good field with the Milky Way I Farms Stables The Fighter taking down the i long end of the purse. 1,575 was the win- j | ners share in this purse. This son of Bull , Dog is going for the Kentucky Derby and will make himself felt. The Centennial Exposition Handicap was secondary feature during the meeting, with a net value of ,280, ! and was taken by Marynell, also winner of the Frontier.
