LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Jockey J. Nolan held on to his slim lead as the leading American rider by piloting one winner last week. Danny Brammer scored with two of his mounts and is only one winner behind Nolan. C. Shultz was high for the week with eight winners, while Ira Hanford, who included the Kentucky Derby among his victories, Charley Kurtsinger and Maurice Peters, each added six winners to their totals for the year.
