LAW SUIT, well handled and saved when outrun, responded fast after seven-eighths, was for* . i to the outside when improving his position in the stretch, took command in the last eighth and won easily. MISS SAXON, well up from the start and reserved early, was put to good urging when taking command in the stretch, failed to withstand the winner, but held CATINO safe. The latter, forced to lose ground when racing forwardly. tired after improving his position. REGARDS, used up in reaching the lead, tired rapidly in the drive. FOOLHARDY and BLACK RIVER quit. GAY DOG, well handled and saved when outrun, responded rapidly when called upon, swung wide at the stretch turn, forged to the front in the final sixteenth and withstood JAWAPA. The latter, outrun early, moved up fast after seven-eighths, and was wearing the winner down at the end. PRE WAR. hustled into the lead early, set a good pace under light urging and tired in the drive. MISS VINCE, never far back, was steered to the inside for the drive and held on well. HOGANS FOX, fractious before the start and unprepared when it came, showed little. LADY FLINDERS quit. Corrected weight — Pre War, 116. «
