REGAL LILY, hustled hard in the early running while racing on the inside of TRIE TLNE, was intermittently punished in the last quarter mile, rallied nicely after coming to the outside of the stretch driv. and was up in the last fifty yards. TRUE TUNE, going in her best form, had good speed while setting tn« pace, saved ground and fought it out gamely. CARE FOR went forwardly all the way, but could I not engage the first two. TONIANNA raced in the first flight, but could not better her position. DROVS SY ™"*re« early interference and could not threaten. BERGERE lacked speed enough to threaten. SLGABOOT lost ground when forced to race wide. MARY KEEN was held safe. JUB JUB was never a factor. CANIENTO moved into an easv lead, was strongly reserved for the first mile, rallied nicely when menaced goine to the twelfth fence and, responding to a hard drive on the flat after clearing the last jump, outstayed LITTLE WOMAN. The latter followed closest to the winner from the start, challenged strongly coming to the twelfth fence and was outrun when it came to a drive. DANGAY bettered his position slowly in the last half mile, but could not threaten the leaders. ICE MAN raced well for the first mile, then tired. DEPART went well placed, but failed to rally when shaken up. MATAGAIN and SNAKE CHARMER were never dangerous. Overweight — Little Woman, 3£ pounds. BLACK SCOUT was kept close to the pace in the early stages, rallied to punishment when straichtened into the stretch and drew away slowly after wearing the leaders down inside the closing eighth. RIDING HIGH, hustled to maintain a short lead in the early running, shook off TUG BOAT but was unable to withstand the winner. BLACK TOREADOR worked his way up on the outside and came courageously in th« closing test. ADAMS EVE was hard ridden early, moved up stoutly entering the stretch, but swerved in the last eighth when placed to punishment. JACAMAR closed a good eap while saving ground. TUG BOAT was used up racing with RIDING HIGH and he quit badly. SAUCY VIXEN could not stay. The others* were never dangerous. SUNNED, handling his weight well and rated within strikinc distance of the leaders, moved up stoutly when reaching the stretch, then closed strongly and wore CRUISING down in the last sixteenth. CRUISING followed SIR WINDSOR closely in the early runninc. took command when straightened into the stretch, but failed to rally when the winner challenged. SIR WINDSOR displayed nice speed while setting the pace, but could not stay when the real test came. SPARKY obtained racing room on the inside and made up some ground in the late stages. ROCKRIM began tiring after the first quarter mile. OUR TIME had no mishaps. PETE M. was never a factor. JOLIE KNIGHT lost ground all the way. Overweight — Sir Windsor, lj pounds. ENTHUSIASM, showing much improvement, had good speed while setting the pace, saved ground and held on better than usual when the real test came. HOME LOAN secured racing room on the inside and finished determinedly while in close quarters. WISE SISTER was rushed hard all the way and showed a good effort. BILLY BEE was permitted to drop back off the pace when leaving the back stretch and finished in behind horses when mildly rhaken up during the stretch run. KUNGSHOLM. showing good speed from the start, was rated along under stout restraint while forcing the pace for five-eighths, went to the front leisurely and drew out without effort. BLESSED AGAIN was rated well back of the pace while saving ground, moved up on the inside leaving the back stretch and finished well. BEVEAU jumped into the air at the start, lacked speed for a half mile, but gained slightly on the outside in the late stages. HEADIN HOME tired after showing good speed under mild urging for three quarters. THE BAILIFF made a mild bid on the outside approaching the stretch. KINDACORN tired. MISTER GANDER, permitted to race on his own courage in the early running, moved up steadily when put to pressure in the last half mile, wore SASSAFRAS down when straightened into the stretch and held ABBOTS LAST safe under pressure. ABBOTS LAST followed in the thick of the contention from the start and held on well after having much taken out of him early. PETEE BLUE, hard ridden to stay with the leaders while racing on the inside, was pinched back leaving the back stretch but held on gamely after recovering. SASSAFRAS was rushed hard to hold a slight lead and he had nothing left when put to a hard drive. EGEON went evenly. BUNGALOW was unable to reach contention. DONA DULCJN, rated off the pace for the first three-quarters, responded to strong pressure and closed with good energy. MAD EAGLE was steadied in front until challenged, but failed to stay when placed to a hard drive. SCOUT ON went forwardly placed, but was not good enough when shaken up.
