I NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES Trainer Bobby Curran of the Araho Stable announced Wednesday morning that the plater Saint Kitts suffered a broken bone in hi3 fore leg during the running of the last race Tuesday and was destroyed. Charlie Allen, veteran rider, reached Nar-ragansett Park to ride for the duration of the meeting. O. L. Foster has taken first call on his services. Leo Sylvester, former contract rider for Capt. Boyd-Bochfort and Richard Nash, trainer of the Royal Stables in England, is acting as agent for the Bristol Stable and is handling the engagement book for jockey V. Kamar. He is also doing newspaper work here for Omaha and Dallas newspapers. Sylvester is the only rider who ever rode Sir Greysteel, sire of Springsteel. Bert Blume arrived at Narragansett Park with two colts and two fillies owned by himself and E. T. Burke. The horses shipped in from Jamaica, include Byrdex, Shining Knight, Maiden Dream and Happy Flag. Tugboat Frank, conqueror of the highly regarded Mower in the Barrington Purse Tuesday, is one of the smallest horses in training. According to his owner-trainer, Joe Roberts, the son of Bostonian stands but foutteen-two and it seems Roberts landed a rare bargain when he claimed the son of Bostonian from "Doc" Riddle for ,500 last year. Tugboat Frank holds engagements in all New England stakes and the Detroit Derby. Jockey Bernie Fels, a plucky youngster who returned to the saddle after complete recovery from a serious injury suffered last summer when thrown in a race at Rockingham Park, arrived at Narragansett Wednesday and will do the riding for C. V. B. Cushmans Windsor Farm Stable. The Windsor string of eight is trained by Joe Brunner. Fels can do 107 pounds. Harry Field, who operates a public stable here, purchased at private terms Thursday morning from Miss Hambla Bauer, the four- year-old gelding Overstimulate.
