1 ROCKINGHAM TURF NOTES T and W. Rosen acquired the plater Sunny Tom at private sale. Racing secretary H. D. Monroe was forced to turn down requests for stabling from many stables that wished to campaign for the remainder of the Salem meeting. There were at least ten carloads that could not be accommodated. It is reported that Fair Park, Dallas, Texas, is planning a fall meeting. However, no dates have as yet been announced. J. A. Gormley plans shipping the string that he has quartered at Rockingham Park to Santa Anita at the close of the New England racing season in mid-November. Tommy Malley has been engaged to ride Jewell Dorsett in the Maplewood Handicap. Rudie, which W. H. Gallagher, New York sportsman, has named for the same event, arrived here Friday from Belmont Park, where he fulfilled his engagement in the Nursery Stakes, finishing fourth to Advocator. Allen Z., the good handicap performer of W. G. Clysdale, is to be taken up and put back in training by J. D. Mooney.
