WENT TO POST 1:41. AT POST 1 minute. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and,third driving. PLAYMORE, away fast, lacked speed to keep pace, moved up on the outside after rounding the far turn, took command in the stretch and drew out in the final eighth. QUEEN VIC took command in the opening strides, drew clear, and, though hard ridden, was unable to cope with the challenge of the winner. SQUAWKER, hard ridden to keep a forward position early, worked her way through the field and closed stoutly on the inside in the last three-sixteenths. STAROGAN was well placed, had to be taken back when in close quarters nearing the far turn, moved up when clear, but was unable to reach the leaders. EDDIE HELCK, in the thick of contention from the start, tired in the drive through the stretch. FALERMIAN had good speed, but was in close quarters after straightening out in the stretch. ZULU LAD had early speed, but hung in the final quarter mile. Won. driving; second and third the same. -WELL DONE, away slowly and far back early, worked his way up gradually, came to the outside in the stretch, catching REIGH TETRARCH tiring and was up in the final seventy yards. REIGH TETRARCH drew dear straightening out in the back stretch, withstood a determined bid from HASTY HANNA, disposed of her drawing into a long lead, but quit badly in the stretch, though never being menaced for the place. YANKEE PRINCE was well placed all the way, though unable to improve his position under punishment. WAR CHASE was well placed and was never able to improve his position when placed under punishment. FORTUITY, away with the. leaders and hard ridden to take, the lead, drew clear nearing the stretch, increased her advantage steadily and was never seriously threatencd. SAY WHEN, away fast, was unable to keep pace, though never far from the lead, was sent to the outside when leaving the back stretch and closed with good energy through the last eighth. RAFTER took command in the opening quarter mile, made a determined bid to keep pace when challenged and, though no match for the winner, fought it out willingly. LADY DAY was well placed throughout, but was unable to make up any ground in the final test. ROYAL BROOM made a bid when entering the stretch, only to weaken in the last eighth. A5KARIS made up some ground, though never in a contending position.. PAV CHEC1C quit badly after encountering some interference nearing the far turn.
