ROCKINGHAM PARK FEATURES Two Good Races Provided as Chief Offerings of Saturdays Program. Eleven Entered in Chief Event, the Mt Washington Handicap, at One and One-Sixteenth Miles, With ,000 Added. SALEM, N. H., Oct. 2 Two good races are listed as tomorrows features at Rockingham Park. Eleven crack stake performers now quartered on the grounds will contest the principal feature, the Mt, Washington Handicap, at a mile and a sixteenth, for ,000 added. Eight speedy juveniles have accepted the issue in the supporting stakes, the Maplewood Handicap, at six furlongs, . ,500 added. Mrs. L. H. Wards Tugboat Frank, winner of the midweek feature, the Revere Handicap, will be one of the choices, under an impost of 104 pounds. Weston Adams Gallant Gay is coupled with Up and Up and the entry will be well supported. Gallant Gay gets in with 113 pounds while Up and Up has been assigned 108. Phil Biebers Chancing is burdened with 118 pounds and Beefsteak, the Mrs. L. H. Nim-koff representative, will shoulder 114 pounds. Steve Panarellas Howard, with 117 pounds up, will attempt to repeat his surprise score in the What Cheer Handicap. Col. W. A. Jones Furfiber is coupled with Boston Brook. Furfiber will carry 100 pounds, while his running mate has been assigned 112. Don Christmas Accolade, which carries top weight of 123 pounds, is the probable choice. He recently finished fourth to Esposa in the Rochambeau Handicap. Track conditions today indicated there will be a fast strip for Saturdays program, which will enhance the chances of Accolade, the consistent New England favorite. In several stakes this season the Bright Knight gelding has proven his ability to shoulder high weight and on a good track shapes up as the probable winner. . Plenty of contention is due, however, frorji Gallant Gay, which has a genuine liking for the Rockingham course, and Beefsteak, which showed good form earlier in the week in running second to Don Guzman. The Lone Star Stables Jewell Dorsett gets 126 pounds to shoulder and will have Tommy Malley in the saddle in the Maple-wood, the supporting feature. Despite the impost, the flashy filly looms as the one to beat although W. H. Gallaghers speedy colt, In with 110, and with Willie Saunders up, may have considerable to say about the issue. Dixiana also promises to furnish a serious threat with the entry of Shootin High and Manager Mike. The latter is making his first start but should he run to his sensational works will be one of the most dangerous contenders. He packs 10S while his running mate has been assigned 122 pounds.
