SALUDEAN, away fast, was kept out from the rail in the best going, swung wide entering the stretch, held on gamely in the drive and outlasted MISS ADAMS,. The latter started slowly, moved up fast on the inside in the deepest going, took a short lead on the lower turn, but tired in the drive. THINK FAST showed good early speed, was in the best going in the middle of the track, but tired in the last eighth. IRON SANDS raced well. FREE ADVICE hustled into the lead shortly after the start, shook olf a challenge from LAURIAN in the stretch and, drawing away, won handily. LAURIAN hustled into contention on the outside, made a game bid entering the stretch, but tired in the final sixteenth. GEN. MILES started slowly, raced wide all the way, closed gamely in the stretch and finished well. DEE DEE W. was going gamely at the end. FINGER WAVE tired in the last eighth. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. ALAKAD outran his field to the first turn, drew clear by the time the back strcSch was reached, came wide into the stretch and, tiring in the last sixteenth, barely lasted. MURIELLYNN, shuffled back in the opening quarter mile, moved up stoutly approaching the stretch turn, was sent to the outside losing considerable ground, came willingly in the stretch and finished on the inside of the winner. A claim of foul was made against the winner by MURIELLYNNS rider, but it was not allowed. WAXWINfi was well placed throughout and finished stoutly. REDLEY moved up threateningly nearing the stretch, was under stout restraint to keep from hearing in and just failed to last for third. BAY BUDDY closed some ground in the late stages. JESSIE V. The latter drew away into a good lead and, though tiring in the last sixteenth, just failed to last. BRIGHT AND EARLY, a trailer early, finished with good courage on the outside through the stretch. ALL FORLORN was unable to reach the pacemaker, but was well up for the first three-eighths. CANDY MAID could never threaten. BOY VALET trailed his field into the back stretch, began moving up in the last three-eighths and, closing with a rush on the outside through the stretch, wore down SWAMP ANGEL to win going away. SWAMP ANGEL avoided the early pace, moved up fast after rounding the far turn, drew clear in the stretch and, despite holding on willingly, was no match for the winner in the closing issue. ONRUSH, in hand for the first half mile, was carried wide when attempting to move up on the outside of LEGIONARY, gained a slight lead, but was no match for the top ones in the closing test. CINAR was rated along back of the pace being set by ICY WIND, wore down the latter when called upon and, under pressure, drew out through the final three-sixteenths. ICY WIND was hard hustled to get to the front, made a determined bid to go along with the winner when challenged, though not good enough. SAND BABY, a trailer early, closed a good gap, though never was in a position to reach the first two. HADTOBE was blocked soon after straightening out on the back stretch, was forced to take up again nearing the far turn and was unable to improve her position thereafter when gaining clear sailing. CONTINUITY was well placed, but faltered under punishment. LONE HAND suffered repeated interference and would not extend himself when placed under urging. SWEEPERMAN, away slowly, worked his way up gradually in the run through the back stretch, moved up stoutly on the outside rounding the far turn and, swinging wide into the stretch, closed with a rush to win going away. HOOSIERS PRIDE was well placed the entire trip, gained a brief lead in the stretch, withstood determined opposition from LAPLAND and, though holding on courageously, was not good enough for the winner in the closing test. LAPI.AND moved up fast approaching the stretch, though he was unable to improve his position in the closing drive. LUNA MICA was never able to enter into serious contention.
