GOLD CROSS was kept close to the pace from the start, responded in the final quarter mile when called upon, shook off opposition and drew away. SNAP JUDGMENT bore over steadily toward the inside after the break, faltered in the Final eighth and came again in the final strides. CHERRY CHIC raced through on the outside, was placed under severe pressure in the final drive, but hung at the end. SEALINE made a determined bid when called upon. ANY PLAY was under severe pressure the best part of the trip. UCANMAYKIT finished well. TOTEM POLE faltered under urging. Scratched SSandOSHighmost, 113. Won easily; second and third the same. 1 WRACKONITE hobbled at several ot his fences and was trying to bear out through the final quarter mile, but responded when called upon and shook off BONNIE LAD. The latter made a bad landing at the fourth fence, but recovered quickly and showed a good effort thereaiter. BUDGET BOY was rated along steadily the first turn of the field, but tired badly in he final mile. SUNNY THOUGHTS was kept forwardly early, then tired badly under urging and was weakly handled in the final half mile. CONGAREE jumped poorly and was outrun all the way. ANOTHERONE, a forward factor all the way, came to the outside of the leaders rounding the stretch turn, disposed of PARAGUAY TEA and was bearing out slightly near the end, but held his company safe. TOBY- TYLER, under ureing close to the pace, was in close quarters rounding the stretch turn and then finished well. INTRODUCTORY began slowly, was outrun in the early stages, worked his way up and finished fast on the extreme outside. MELODY MAID, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, showed a good effort throughout. INVERMARK was taken up at the start, worked his way up on the inside and was going fastest at the end. BLACK MISCHIEF dropped back after the start and made up some ground. PARAGUAY TEA had a flash of early speed, but quit badly. BILL FARNSWORTH was rushed into the lead after the start, was rated along under restraint and was rushed sharply turning for home, then shook off determined opposition from MID VICTORIAN and drew away in the final sixteenth. MID VICTORIAN, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the. start, moved up with determination on the outside of the leader rounding the stretch and improved her position in the stretch, then hung in the final sixteenth. DRAWN SWORD was rushed into command rounding the far turn, drew away into a safe -lead while saving ground, but faltered badly at the end. AROUSED slipped through on the inside after the break, showed early speed, but tired badly at the end. BRIGHT CHANCE was outrun the first part and made up ground slowly. MY PETER was kept forwardly from the start, moved up on the outside of the leader rounding the stretch tum, was in close quarters between the winner and APPRENTICE and then came again in the final strides. The latter was sent into command after the break, was rated along steadily while saving ground and faltered badly at the end. HEDRIC forced the carlv pace and then tired.
