BETH MACAW, under strong restraint for about three-eighths and forced very wide while wearing down GIRLS CHANCE, opened up a wide advantage rapidly after reaching the stretch and, taken in hand in the final eighth, won with something in reserve. LADY TICHNER, forced to race wide, throughout and under steady reserve until reaching the last five-sixteenths, closed with determination, though unable to endanger the winner. QUEEN FULL, near the middle of the track after the first quarter, closed well under a mild hand ride. PECOS, fractious at the post where he was placed on the outside, finished well from a sluggish beginning. GIRLS CHANCE had speed, but gave way badly in the last three-sixteenths. DROMBO, at home in the going and forced to lose much ground, was under snug restraint for a half mile, quickly overtook MADERIS when "straightened out in the stretch and won without need of strong urging. MADEBIS, away fast, showed the most speed under energetic riding, tired, giving way to .the. winner, but outstayed UNLAWFUL. The latter, away slowly and forced to lose ground early, saved some ground on the stretch turn and held on well in the drive. PROPOSING saved much ground and tired after reaching the last three-sixteenths. MICA ROCK failed to keep up. DARK SEEKER labored in the going and was never a strong factor. INFIDOX, saving much ground, moved into contention quickly after reaching the stretch, was in close quarters briefly inside the final eighth and faltered when clear. APPEALING, a factor from the start but forced very wide throughout, dropped back when swerving soon after entering the stretch, but rallied when straight. FAUST had speed from the start, but gave way steadily in the drive. WHERE AWAY raced evenly. SOUND ADVICE and LUNSFORD began slowly. REAPING could not untrack himself in the going. PHAROSAY refused to line up for the start and the field was dispatched without him.
