1 KEENELAND TURF NOTES : 5 5 Hal Price Headley, president of the Keene-land Association, added the trophy which went to the winner of the special sweepstakes between Myrtlewood and Miss Merriment Joseph E. Widener, president of the Westchester Racing Association, and the Miami Jockey Club, who has been visiting at Elm-endorf Farm for several days, presented the trophy to the winning owner of the Lexington Stakes. Accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Widener, he made his first visit to the new course Saturday. Honorary stewards for the final days sport were J. O. Keene and C. Barry Shannon. Mrs. John Hertz purchased the two-year-. old filly, Galladee, from Calumet Farm and she will be shipped to Pimlico Sunday to join the Hertz stable there in charge of Lon Johnson. J. H. Johnson has taken over E. H. Stitts Trauwina to train. C. Gentry formerly trained the horse. Because of the match event between Miss Merriment and Myrtlewood making eight races on the program, the post time for the opening event has been advanced to tl:3P D..PW.. t 31 f . n ! -s n
