LITTLE SON got through on the inside approaching the far turn to take a good lead after leaving the back stretch and, performing as if easily best, was never in danger. JESSIE CLOUD improved her position under urging in the final quarter and was easily best of the others. CAN ELE came again after dropping back and showed improvement. SALINAS had good early speed, but tired in the stretch. PALLIATION dropped back when in close quarters after leaving the back stretch. HEDON was slow to get going. UNDERFOOT raced to a prominent position soon after the start and heading AMAZER after entering the stretch, had enough left to hold GOLD COLOR. The latter lost some ground by racing wide, but finished gamely and gained on the winner. PALA CHIEF came fast in the stretch. AMAZER had good early speed, but tired in the stretch. MIKE T. broke well, but could not keep up. BETTY HIGH dropped back in ihe stretch. FLAMING GIRL was shuffled back after the start. RADIO CRYSTAL lost his rider at the start. Scratched Poletta, 108. BROWN JADE lost little time getting to the front and, opening up a good lead when, ready, was never in danger and was taken in hand in the last fifty yards. LADY BEWITHUS was closest to the winner most of the way and had no trouble holding the others. PAPENIE was in close quarters on the inside of LADY BEWITHUS in the first half mile. BAKERSTOWN closed ground in the stretch. ROCKWOOD was in tight quarters in the early running. LAKE VIEW lost all chance when shut off and was forced to pull up sharply around, the far turn. KEENE JACK got through an opening on the far turn to open up a good lead and raced gamely after being headed. MADRONE closed ground under urging. CAVOUR also niade up much ground. PENTLAND tired. REBUTTAL raced forwardly from the start and was close up at the end. WASATCH was closest to PEP TALK in the early running, took command in the stretch and held on fairly well. PEP TALK opened up a good lead while making the pace, but tired near the end. LADY VALOROUS met with some interference. OLD MAID was bumped rounding the first turn, but failed to display any speed and showed a dull effort. HI-SWEET was forced to take up when in close quarters on the first turn.
