TRAINER J. EVANS DIES BOWIE, Md., April 10. Trainer J. Evans, veteran conditioner of thoroughbreds, died in harness at Bowie during the running of the third race today, in which he saddled one of the starters of the contest, Stipulate, for Mrs. B. Evans. The deceased viewed the contest from the infield when he was overtaken by a heart attack and succumbed before medical attention could be ! administered.
