CAVALCADE A WONDER HORSE When Cavalcade carried off the Kentucky Derby of 1934 the name of another great horse was added to the roster of winner of the now worldfamous Blue Grass classic Cavalcade was the outstanding horse of 1 1934 the largest money winner and the champion threeyearold He was beaten only once by his stablemate High Quest in the Preakness and besides the Kentucky Derby was victorious in the American and Detroit derbys the Arlington Park Classic and the Chesapeake Stakes His total win ¬ nings for the year amounted to 111325 a sum that he might have greatly enlarged had he not gone wrong in July just when a tempting array of rich jprizes were being offered for a meeting with liim Equipoise and other stars
