EDDIE YAGER TO RIDE RIDESIR SIR DAMION IN DERBY LOUISVILLE Ky May 6 No sooner had George Odom arrived here today from New York to supervise the final preparation and saddling of Sir Damion in the Kentucky Derby than he completed arrangements to ride Edwin Yager on Marshall Fields colt coltNick Nick Wall was originally scheduled to ride the son of Sir Gallahad III but he incurred the displeasure of the Jamaica stewards Wednesday and was given a lengthy suspen ¬ sion Odom already was en route here at the time but upon being advised of Walls suspension he immediately set about obtain ¬ ing the services of another rider Yager did considerable riding for Odom last season seasonRobert Robert McGarvey the Milky Way Farm stable trainer was still hopeful today that Raymond Workman would come here from New York to handle ojie of the three likely starters from that establishment Workman had been engaged previously for the Excel ¬ sior Handicap Saturdays feature at Jamaica and he advised McGarvey that he would not know definitely until tonight whether he could make the trip here
