24000 HOLIDAY VISITORS DETROIT Mich June 1 Clarence B Lehr president and general manager of the Detroit Racing Association announced to day that a check of the admittance tickets revealed that nearly 24000 fans were present for the Decoration Day program It was the second largest crowd in the history of the plant only surpassed by the record gathering present for the Labor Day offering in 1933 The mutuel handle set a new high mark and every day including the Horsemens Relief Society Day program topped the correspond ¬ ing day last year
