HEAVY FOOTING AT OMAHA Turnstile Count Shows 14000 Were WerePresent Present at AkSarBen Field Decoration Day OMAHA Neb June 1 Following a holi ¬ day on which all attendance and parimutuel handle records were broken the AkSarBen meeting got into full swing with the running of todays races and from now until July 5 the sport will be conducted six days a week at AkSarBen field fieldThe The gate count for Memorial Day showed that just about 14000 persons had passed through the turnstiles on that afternoon and the parimutuel figures while not officially announced topped anything that has gone before beforeAfter After a rather lean three days during which horses from his powerful stable won only three races Earl Beezley got back into stride on the holiday and won three races His triple came through the wins of Pipe Down Fluke and Tip Inn while Prince Tide another Hunt Beezley Boeing animal ran a close second It marked the maiden victor ¬ ies of both Pipe Down and Fluke which Beezley purchased from Alfred Gwynne Van derbilt at Santa Anita last winter winterRain Rain fell at AkSarBen again Monday night and the track was heavy for todays races The fields were not greatly reduced in size however and some good contention was offered in most of the races
